Crocheting is my most active hobby, next to my genealogy research. My first project was a granny square throw. I think I still have it somewhere. I ended up spending a lot of time with my sister-in-law and we made so many different things together. I was still learning and I think she was too. We both learned the afghan stitch and started making potholders. I branched out on my own and learned how to change colors and make other stitches from that first afghan stitch. It’s called Tunisian Crochet. I’ve also started to teach myself filet crochet and tatting.
